Imported cars on display at Saigon Autotech

HCMC - More than 60 companies began showing a range of automobiles on Wednesday at the 6th Vietnam International Transport & Motor Technology Show (Saigon Autotech 2010), a five-day exhibition featuring high-end makes introduced for their first time in Vietnam.
Motor Image Vietnam, the exclusive distributor of Subaru cars in Vietnam, is displaying the new Legacy series, which includes the Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Sedan and Legacy Outback 3.6R. This is the first time the company has brought the cars into the local market.
In addition, the Subaru Forester 2.0X and 2.5XT sport utility vehicles (SUV) are on display at the exhibition, which is being held at the HCMC International Exhibition and Convention Center (HIECC) until June 6.
Tobe M'car - a small car model imported by Kylin GX 668 Trading Joint Stock Co. - is also on display for the first time in Vietnam.
Mekong Auto is showing some FIAT models at the exhibition, while other auto importers showcase Lexus, Infinity and Bentley vehicles.
The event also features supporting industries including suppliers of automobile equipment, maintenance services, lubricant oils, additives and fuels, among others. Many suppliers from Thailand, China, Malaysia and Taiwan are participating in the event, as well.
The annual exhibition is organized by the Asia Trade Fair and Business Promotion Company (ATFA) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
